GEORGE M. COMPTON-CRAIG, J.D., Attorney-at-Law

George M. Compton-Craig, J.D., has practiced law since 2011, and is an Associate Attorney at Winship Law, P.A. George practices in the areas of Estates, Trusts, and Real Property and Business Transactions. He also has experience in corporate governance and advising non-profit organizations.

George is passionate about helping individuals and families achieve success and avoid financial pitfalls when it comes to wealth transfers, transactions, and conducting business. After spending several years litigating cases and witnessing firsthand the consequences of poor planning, he has embraced a mission to help his clients navigate the complex legal and regulatory minefield. His goal is to ensure smooth transfers, transactions, and commercial relations.

Everyone’s life and circumstances are unique and require tailor-fitted advice. George is focused on helping people plan for major life events so that these events do not result in fractured relationships. George prides himself on being a personal guide through the planning process, helping clients make tough decisions while anticipating the unknown.

George’s education began at Xavier University in Cincinnati, where he studied Psychology and Biology. He went on to study law at Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida where he graduated cum laude in 2011. While at Ave Maria, he served on the Moot Court Honors Board and competed nationwide with other law students in mock cases and trials.

George is a member of the Florida Bar, the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, and the Orange County Bar Association.

In his free time, George enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and working on creative projects. In addition to these activities, he volunteers his time working with non-profit charities and local entrepreneurs to help them launch their ideas and missions and grow into financially successful companies.
